SwingClips
Privacy Policy
Effective October 24, 2026 · Version 2026-10-24 · SB Labs LLC
SwingClips ("SwingClips", "we", "our", or "us") is operated by SB Labs LLC. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the "App"). By using SwingClips you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
Account information: your email address, your display name, and your date of birth, which we ask for once when you create your account to confirm you are old enough to use SwingClips.
User-generated content ("UGC"): the video clips of golf swings and lessons you upload, the titles you give them, and the technical metadata of the files you upload, such as duration, file size, frame rate, resolution, and the time the video was captured.
Communications you send to us.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
Content generated from your uploads: a transcript of what is said in your videos, and the analysis written from it — an overview, Drills, Practice items, and Moments.
Device and service data: the device model, operating system version, and App version sent with each request, and server logs of requests made to our service. We do not use an advertising identifier, and we do not collect your location.
Crash and diagnostic reports: when the App crashes, stops responding, or is closed by the system, it sends a report to Sentry, our error-monitoring provider, with the App version, your device model and operating system, the code that was running, and the screens you had recently visited. The App also tells Sentry when each session starts and ends, so we can see how often a version crashes. Our servers send Sentry their own error reports in the same way. We strip these reports of your videos, transcripts, analysis, video titles, email address, and IP address, and they are not linked to your account. Separately, if you have chosen in your device settings to share analytics with developers, Apple may also send us crash reports.
Push notification token: if you allow notifications, we store your device's push token against your account so we can tell you when a video is shared with you. When you sign out, the App asks us to delete this token, and when someone else signs in on that device, its token moves to their account. We delete all of your tokens when you delete your account.
1.3 Information from Apple
If you subscribe, the App Store tells us whether an active subscription is attached to your account so we can apply it. We never receive your payment details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: (a) create and manage your account; (b) store, transcribe, and analyze your videos, and deliver the AI-generated overview, Drills, Practice items, and Moments; (c) share a video and its analysis with the people you choose to share it with; (d) send you sign-in links and service notices by email, and tell you by email and push notification when a video is shared with you; (e) improve, personalize, and develop new features of the App; (f) ensure App security and detect fraudulent or harmful activity; and (g) comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your video content to train third-party AI models without your explicit, separate consent.
3. User-Generated Content (UGC)
SwingClips allows you to upload video content of golf instruction and play. You retain ownership of content you upload. By uploading content, you grant SB Labs LLC a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, transcode, and deliver that content solely to provide the App's services to you and, where applicable, to the people you share a video with.
You are solely responsible for the content you upload. You agree not to upload content that: (a) depicts minors in any sexual, exploitative, or non-consensual manner; (b) contains nudity, sexual content, graphic violence, or hate speech; (c) violates any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights; or (d) violates any applicable law or regulation.
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these guidelines and to suspend or terminate accounts responsible for such violations. See Section 9 (Content Moderation) for details.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as follows:
People you share with: a video and its analysis are visible to the accounts you share that video with, such as your coach or your students, and your display name is shown to them.
Service providers: we share data with the infrastructure providers that run the App — Mux for video hosting, AssemblyAI for transcription, Anthropic for AI analysis, Postmark for email delivery, Fly.io for application hosting, Sentry for crash and error reporting, and Apple for subscription purchases and push notification delivery — under terms that restrict their use of your data to providing their service to us.
4.1 AI Analysis Consent
Before your first upload, the App asks you to agree before any lesson is sent to AssemblyAI or Anthropic. AssemblyAI receives your lesson's audio and writes the transcript; Anthropic receives the transcript and writes your overview, Drills, Practice items, and Moments. Your name, email, and account details are not sent to either service. We hold both processors to the same or equal protection this Privacy Policy describes for your data.
You can withdraw this consent at any time in the App (Profile → AI analysis → Stop sending my lessons). Withdrawing blocks new uploads until you agree again, and stops the next send for a video still being processed; it does not undo the analysis of a video already processed. To remove a video's transcript and analysis from our service providers, delete your account (Section 5) or contact us at support@swingclips.io.
Business transfers: if SB Labs LLC is acquired or merges, user data may transfer as part of that transaction. We will notify you in advance.
Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
4.2 Watch Links
You can share a video as a Watch link, a web address that anyone who has it can open in a browser to watch that video, with no account and no app. Whoever holds the link can see the video's title, lesson date, your display name, the clips, and the transcript and analysis shown beside them, and anyone you send the link to can forward it. Treat it like a private key: share it only with people you trust. Blocking a person or flagging a video in the App does not close a link they already hold.
When someone opens a Watch link, their IP address and browser's user agent reach Mux, which streams the video, as they would for any video on the web. Chat apps such as Messages and WhatsApp may fetch the link to build a preview card, showing the video's title, date, your display name, and a thumbnail, and may keep that card after the link stops working. The page sets one strictly necessary cookie to run the page and records no viewer analytics: no tracking, no advertising, no profile of who watched.
You can end a Watch link at any time by resetting it in the App (the video's menu → Reset link); deleting your account ends every link you have made. A reset stops the address from working, but it cannot take back what someone already loaded. To ask for a Watch link to be taken down, or to report a video, use "Report this video" on the page or email support@swingclips.io with the link.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data and uploaded content for as long as your account is active. Push notification tokens can be deleted earlier, as described in Section 1.2. You may delete your account and associated content at any time in the App (Profile → Delete account) or by contacting us at support@swingclips.io. Deleting your account signs you out immediately. Deletion of your account, your videos, and the copies our service providers hold is permanent and completes within 30 days of your request; it cannot be undone.
Uploads that are started but never completed are deleted after 7 days. Content that has been reported or flagged is retained until the report is reviewed, plus 90 days, so that a removal can be audited or reversed. Server logs are retained for 30 days. Crash and error reports are kept by Sentry for up to 90 days. Anonymized, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
6. Your Rights and Choices
6.1 Access and Correction
You may access or update your account information within the App at any time.
6.2 Deletion
You may delete your account and associated data using the in-app deletion option (Profile → Delete account) or by emailing support@swingclips.io.
6.3 Photo Library
Videos come from your device's photo library; the App has no camera of its own. We receive only the videos you choose to upload. You may revoke the App's photo library access at any time through your device settings, which disables uploading.
6.4 Email Communications
The emails we send today are transactional: sign-in links, sharing notifications, and service notices. If we ever send marketing email, you will be able to opt out by following the unsubscribe link in any such message.
6.5 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, opt out of sale (we do not sell personal information), and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Submit requests to support@swingclips.io.
6.6 Push Notifications
You may turn off push notifications at any time in your device's Settings. The App has no notification settings of its own.
7. Children's Privacy
SwingClips is not directed to children under 13. We ask for your date of birth when you create an account, and an account cannot be created for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at support@swingclips.io and we will delete that information.
If the App is used in a junior golf instructional context, the coach uploading the video is responsible for ensuring appropriate parental consent is in place before uploading any content featuring minors.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (TLS), access controls, and regular security review of our service providers. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Content Moderation
SwingClips employs the following content moderation measures:
9.1 Prohibited Content
The following content is strictly prohibited on the platform: (a) sexual or pornographic content of any kind; (b) content depicting child abuse or exploitation; (c) graphic violence or gore; (d) hate speech, harassment, or content that promotes discrimination; and (e) content that violates any applicable law.
9.2 Reporting
Users may report content that violates these guidelines by contacting support@swingclips.io with a description of the content and the account responsible. We will review reported content within 48 hours and take appropriate action, which may include content removal, account suspension, or referral to law enforcement.
9.3 Enforcement
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates our guidelines without notice and to suspend or permanently ban accounts responsible for serious or repeated violations. Users whose accounts are terminated for content violations may not create new accounts.
9.4 Appeals
If you believe content was removed in error, you may appeal by contacting support@swingclips.io within 30 days of removal. We will review appeals and respond within 5 business days.
10. Third-Party Services
The App relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy: Mux (video infrastructure) — mux.com/privacy; AssemblyAI (transcription) — assemblyai.com/legal/privacy-policy; Anthropic (AI analysis) — anthropic.com/privacy; Postmark (email delivery) — postmarkapp.com/privacy-policy; Fly.io (application hosting) — fly.io/legal/privacy-policy; Sentry (crash and error reporting) — sentry.io/privacy; and Apple (App Store, subscriptions, and push notification delivery) — apple.com/legal/privacy.
11. International Users
SwingClips is operated in the United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Each revision carries the effective date shown at the top of this page, which identifies its version. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy in the App and, where required, by email. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
13. Contact Us
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact SB Labs LLC at support@swingclips.io.
